FAQ's

  • It’s my first time trying on gowns-- what should I expect?
    • Don't overthink the process- choosing your dress is about a feeling, and when you have it, it's ok to live into it!
  • What sizes do you carry?
    • We carry bridal sizes 4 to 32 to try on, which is like street wear size 2 to 30. Don’t fret, we also have clamps and other ways to help you try on the dress!
  • How long does it take to order a gown?
    • The average order time for a wedding gown ranges from 4 to 8 months. However, some designers have quicker delivery times and some offer rush delivery service.
  • Do you offer alterations?
    • We have an independently contracted seamstress who comes to our boutique twice a week. Alterations costs are not included on the price of the gown. We can also refer you to a nearby seamstress.
  • How do I know what size to order?
    • We will measure you and determine where you fall on the designer’s size chart. Gowns are made according to the size chart and not to your actual measurements.
  • How long do I have to pick up my dress after it comes in? What if I live out of town?
    • We ask that you pick up your gown 10 days after receiving a phone call/voicemail/email from us that your gown has arrived. If you live out of town, we can make arrangements.
  • How long do appointments last?
    • Typically, an appointment can last up to 1 hour and a half.
  • My wedding is in over a year. When should I order my wedding gown?
    • NOW! Styles may discontinue; you need months at a time for ordering and alteration.
  • Do you offer a payment plan?
    • Yes! We are always willing to work with customers on doing a payment plan.
  • Do I need an appointment?
    • We allow walk-in’s on weekdays, but we prefer appointments on weekends to help serve you better.
  • How many guests can I bring to my appointment?
    • You can bring as many as you want, however be aware too many opinions may overwhelm you.
  • Can I purchase my gown off rack?
    • Yes!
  • Do you buy back wedding gowns?
    • That’s a great question! Weddings and Dreams sells unused bridal dresses, so we do not buy back or consign bridal gowns.
